As a woman
entrepreneur who is serious to succeed in business , attending live events is a
must -do activity ! It is simply the best way to build relationships and
develop know- factor - such as trust .
If you are one of
those people sitting at your desk thinking and believing that prospects will
find you there - well, you are seriously mistaken . You have to stand - on -
and connect.
There are a few
things to consider, however, before going to the event to set yourself up for
success. These are simple steps and they work.
1)
Set an intention
. What , exactly , do you want to achieve by participating in this event? I
donâ € ™ t care if itâ € ™ s simply a breakfast meeting or a networking major ,
out-of- town 3-day event . What is your intention?
2)
Make a list. I'm
serious. Make a list - 3 people you want to meet, why you want to meet , what
you need / want to bring with you to remember all the plugs and chargers, cards
, vitamins , batteries, etc.
3
) Dress like a professional. This is not the time to show up in your
favorite yoga clothes and more comfortable . You're a professional. Dress like
the professional you want to be and the level you aspire to . Always dress in
layers - meeting rooms tend to be on the cold side . Be comfortable - but as
professional as you are.
4)
to leave â € ~ €
™ OFFICEâ OUT OF MESSAGES . This is important - your e -mail on your office
phone to your cell phone. Let people know that you are â € ~ € ™ unavailableâ
for a certain period of time - redirect your assistant and / or the website for
more information. Leave details of when you will be able to respond.
5
) Remember â € ~ € ™ CAS ETIQUETTEâ . When you attend a major event ,
where he is a guest speaker , keep in mind â € ~ this is not your Partya € ™ .
Learn mark the appropriate event - this is not the time and place for you to
turn around and promote your business services there on the spot (unless you
are a paid and / or sponsor speaker) . You are there to meet people , network,
raise awareness about you and your services - but not actively and / or sign
people to work with you sell. This is not appropriate and will not go unnoticed
either. Donâ € ™ t be â € ~ € ™ which Girla . I know that many women
entrepreneurs are not â € ~ € ™ schooledâ in this case - if itâ € ™ s important
for you to know.
6)
be present. This
is the time and place to be completely immersed and learn everything you can to
develop ( as a professional ) and your business. Be present. Take notes . Ask
questions . Have an open mind. You may have heard that â € ~ € ™ beforeâ - but
have you applied all the information ? Take breaks when they are scheduled.
Keep conversations to a minimum when there is a speaker on stage. How can you
learn when you do not speak the same time at your table - do not be disruptive
. Mind your manners .
7) have fun. The growth of the company is, indeed , a
serious work - but that does not mean you have to be serious all the time.
Enjoy . Tell your face. Smile. Be accessible.
8)
STAY FOR LIFE !
When you make a commitment to attend an event, then stay for the full program .
Of course, there are always exceptional and unforeseen circumstances - I do not
mean that. There is a lot of content until the last minute . And there is a great
opportunity to learn , connect , providing testimonials - through, and after
the program. Be the person who takes full advantage ! This is where there are
many possibilities!
9)
say THANK YOU !
There is a lot that goes into hosting an event - especially those 3 days . The
team members work long and hard to ensure you have a memorable experience. Take
a moment to recognize and thank them. Thank you to the audio -visual team ,
video team - someone you know and have worked to set you up for a great experience
. Remember what your mother told you : Please and thank you go a long way !
Participate in
live events is a good strategy you want to follow on a regular basis and
consistently throughout your year ! Plan for it - budget for it - Imerse on
events - and become the leader of the richest women of your dreams. Itâ € ™ s
all about continuous learning and you should plan to attend at least two of
these events each year .
Successful
entrepreneurs will tell you that live events are the perfect place to learn, grow
, network, called to develop joint venture relationships , and more. Be That
Girl!
